We began showing our wonderful goats in June 2008. With only a few shows under our belts, we are pleased with the way our goats are handling themselves and the judges seem to agree! The goats listed below are those in our herd that have won a Reserve Grand Championship or a Grand Championship, or have earned a permanent Championship title. For Grand and Reserve Grand Championships, each goat is only listed under the highest level win (or title) they have achieved.

Permanent Champions (permanent GCH/CH (ADGA) or MCH title (AGS))

MCH CH Sandy Hollow UK Chesire Cat *S *B
Chesire has taken several Reserve and Grand Championships in ADGA & AGS and we now have confirmation from both AGS & ADGA on his new permanent championship title status. Chesire has also won a number of Best of Breed awards and at least three Best Buck in Show awards, including a defeat over a previously undefeated Champion Challenger at the 2008 Alaska State Fair ADGA & AGS shows under Judge Rusty Repp. Thank you to the many judges that helped Chesire earn his permanent championship titles.

CH TH Xenya *S *B
Xenya has taken several Reserve and Grand Championships in ADGA & AGS, a number of Best of Breed awards, and a Best Buck in Show win. Although ADGA has confirmed his CH status, AGS has not yet confirmed his MCH status. Thank you to the many judges that helped Xenya earn his permanent championship titles.

All of our other goats that have won Reserve Grand Championships in the past have now gone on to win Grand Championships as shown above.

We have also had some other nice placings within each class, with several firsts and several best udder in class awards. We are very happy with the way our goats (and our own handling skills) are coming along in the show ring. The goats are getting more practice walking with us and standing properly for conformation evaluation. We're also seeing some LOVELY udders on the girls this year and we can't wait to see the professional shots from Mark Simpson Photography taken at the June 24-25 and July 5 shows. Maybe 2009 will be the year we will have some decent photos to submit to ANDDA for All American Awards.

Finally, Heather also received word that she was selected as the Alaska State Fair in Palmer's 2008 Rookie of the Year!
