Chesire Cat
This boy is as gentle as they come. Well-mannered, easy to handle, eager to
please, and very gentle with his girls. This makes him a welcome addition to our
herd. Born a quadruplet, he has grown to a full-sized, impressive, 4-year-old
buck. Below is a candid summer photo of Cheshire, courtesy of SilverAurora (note, he
is wearing his full summer coat in this picture).

His prior owner, Suzanne Nevada at SilverAurora had this to say about Cheshire:
"This boy is simply outstanding. Level topline, blended clean shoulders, very nice
angulation, correct feet and legs, first in his class at a recent show! This buck
has a very uphill stance naturally with tight shoulders and good feet. With a
pedigree like this we have no worries about his abilities to pass on not only lovely show
qualities but excellent milk production potential too. If we would ask for any
improvements, we'd like to see more width from pin to pin. A very dairy buck, he
adds refinement to his kids and crosses well with powerhouse does. His sire's dam was #1
milk producer in both 2002 AND 2003!"
What a pedigree! Cheshire's paternal great granddam, ARMCH
Goodwood Water Lilly 2*D 1*M, was 2000 AGS National Best of
Breed, 2003 AGS National Best Udder in Class and she has been in the AGS top ten for milk
production at least 10 times between 2000-2003. Cheshire's other paternal great
granddam, Rosasharn's Baby Usa *D 1*M has also been in the
AGS top ten for milk production at least 12 times between 1998-2002. Cheshire's
paternal great grandsire, ARMCH Goodwood Tom Thumb +*S ++B was also AGS National Champion Buck in 1997 AND 2000!
Additionally, Cheshire's paternal grandsire, ARMCH
Rosasharn's Tiger L ++*S ++B, was linebred on Stonewall's
Raising Arizona and his granddam, ARMCH Rosasharn's Uni 3*D was AGS All-Time Breed Leader for Highest Lifetime Milk
Production, 2006 with 7,226# in 1,511 days, AGS All-Time Breed Leader for
Milk Production 2004, with 1,601# in 305 days, and she posted in the AGS
top ten for milk production at least 8 times between 2004-2006. Cheshire is also a
half-brother to the AGS 2005 Nationals Best Udder in Show doe, Rosasharn's UK Witch Hazel 5*D! Additionally, Cheshire's dam was Piddlin Acres Charity 2*D 1*M, a full sister to Piddlin Acres Alley Oops *D, who posted AGS 2000 #10 High Milk with 982# in 305 days,
#8 High Butterfat with 67# (6.8%), #8 High Protein with 45#
(4.6%), AGS 1999 #4 High Milk with 1,153# in 305 days, #5 High
Butterfat with 77# (6.7%), #3 High Protein with 51# (4.4%)!
Cheshire's dam's high milk weight for 2004 was also 5.7#.
Fantastic! For more summaries of his ancestors and their accomplishments, click here to view Cheshire's 5-generation
pedigree.
Taken October 2007, here is another candid shot of Cheshire talking to his girls
through his viewing window.

We are repeating a past successful breeding to Sandy Hollow SS Butterscotch 3*D 2*M for a May/June 2008 kidding.

Xenya
Xenya is named for the African country, Kenya, so his name is pronounced with a
"K" sound at the beginning.
From the first moment we laid eyes upon Xenya, we were in love. Despite the fact
that we had already purchased his dam, Sandy Hollow SS Butterscotch 3*D 2*M, we simply had to have Xenya. Superb width from
hips through thurls, pins, and hocks, level topline, good bone, tight, correct feet, and a
dishy face typical of his sire, Jobi LA Thunder *S, all
wrapped up in an amazing little package. This buck stole our hearts the first time
we met him and he's sure to do the same for everyone he encounters in both the show ring
and the breeding pen.
This buck is affectionate and gentle, with a tiny voice just waiting to emerge.
Here is a candid shot of Xenya taken in December 2007 when Xenya was just 6 months old.

Despite his dense winter coat and playful, ready-to-bounce attitude, you can really
appreciate his commanding presence and unique personality, even in this informal
snapshot. He comes from very dairy lines, with both his paternal granddam, Jobi Aida
3*D 1*M (AGS 2005 #8 High Milk with 1,104# in 297
days and posting in the AGS top 10 for milk production at least 3 other times
2005), and his sire, Jobi LA Thunder *S linebred on Jobi
Misti 2*D 2*M (AGS 2003 #2 High Milk with 1,247# in
305 days, and posting in AGS top ten for milk production at least 9 other times
between 2002-2004). Additionally, Xenya's maternal grandsire, Piddlin Acres Sargent
Scholtz, was linebred on Woodhaven Farms Moon Dancer *D
(Storybook Zoser x Storybook Nefertiti), his maternal granddam, MCH
Piddlin Acres Neon Moon *D, was linebred on Dav-Lyn Piddlin
Acres Victory, and his dam, Sandy
Hollow SS Butterscotch 3*D 2*M, was linebred on Piddlin
Acres ShortChange *S (MCH
Twin Creeks BH Bay Watch *++S x MCH Piddlin Acres Doe 'C' Doe) and Piddlin Acres Concerto (MCH Piddlin Acres Blue Thunder +S x Tupence
Minuet). For
more summaries of his ancestors and their accomplishments, click here to view Xenya's
5-generation pedigree.
Their breeder, Suzanne Nevada at SilverAurora, retained Xenya's full brother from the
same kidding, SilverAurora TH Xanadu *S, of whom she said,
"This boy is our up and coming youngster. A gold buckskin, Xanadu is so well
balanced, his topline, overall length, dish face, and strong lower jaw all announce that
he 'has arrived'. Standing uphill on strong feet with plenty of angulation, he is an
exciting boy that we are looking forward to using here. He is pictured above at only 2
months old... just awesome." It will be interesting to see how these boys
produce side-by-side on different does!

We expect this buck will mature into a spectacular herdsire and we can't wait to see
how his kids turn out with his breeding to SilverAurora
CC Xcella, a doe out of our own Sandy Hollow UK Chesire Cat *S *B, now in the Boreas Acres herd. Xcella is due to kid
in April/May 2008 and she is the first doe bred to Xenya! Congratulations, Laura!
Xenya has also been bred to our own SilverAurora SB WaitingForMe for a June 2008 kidding.
We have high hopes for this outcross!

Xudan
Xudan is named for the African country, Sudan, so his name is pronounced with a
"S" sound at the beginning.
What luck! Happening upon this solid-built buck while he's still young and small
enough to comfortably breed my more refined does was truly kismet! Amazing depth,
breadth, bone, and heart girth, this boy commands attention! Xudan inherited all the
width of his dam, Sandy Hills Hollow KF Sayil 3*D 2*M, a
half-sister to our own Sandy Hollow UK Chesire Cat *S *B (see
Cheshire above), and that dishy face typical of his sire, Jobi LA
Thunder *S. Although we already owned a half-brother to
Xudan's dam, we could not pass up the opportunity to purchase this outstanding buck.
Here are some candid shots of Xudan taken in November 2007 when he was just 5
months old.

Despite his immense winter coat, it's easy to see the sheer bulk of this goat, even at
only 5 months old. What a powerhouse!

Please excuse the snow on Xudan's rear!
Xudan comes from very dairy lines, with both his paternal granddam, Jobi
Aida 3*D 1*M (AGS 2005 #8 High Milk with 1,104# in
297 days and posting in the AGS top 10 for milk production at least 3 other times
2005), and his sire, Jobi LA Thunder *S linebred on Jobi

305 days, and posting in AGS top ten for milk production at least 9 other times
between 2002-2004). Xudan's ancestors also include ARMCH
Rosasharn's Tiger L ++*S ++B (linebred on Stonewall's Raising
Arizona), Gay-Mor Berry's Jetstream ++*S, Gay-Mor's RA
Kingwood ++*S (Stonewall's Raising Arizona x ARMCH Goodwood Trillium *D, AGS
1998 #7 High Butterfat), MCH Goodwood Fox 2*D, MCH Piddlin Acres Diamond Deb *D, and Piddlin Acres Charity 2*D 1*M
(full sister to Piddlin Acres Alley Oops *D (AGS 2000 #10
High Milk with 982# in 305 days and posting in AGS top ten for milk
production at least 5 more times between 1999-2000). This boy is sure to produce
does at least as capacious as his mother, Sandy Hills Hollow KF Sayil 3*D 2*M, who milked 4.3# her first day on DHI test, just 26
days into milk as a first freshener! WOW!! For more summaries of his ancestors and their
accomplishments, click here to view Xudan's 5-generation pedigree.
We expect this buck will mature into an amazing herdsire and we can't wait to see how
his kids turn out. We have him bred to SilverAurora JC WhisperSweetly for
an April 2008 kidding.
This should be an amazing outcross and Whisper is the first doe bred to Xudan!
